Ghost [kdrama – spoiler alarm]

Ghost also known as Phantom or Cyberghost is a drama that I was thinking a long time if I should watch it or not. I liked the spoilers but wasn’t so sure since the genre was also mystery and crime. I don’t mind actions but if it may board on horror than it’s not for me, I need my beauty sleep.

And than I started to do Mblaq challenge and this drama came on the list to do. Wow! I should have done that way sooner!

Okay, first few details about the drama.

Title: Ghost  유령

Aired: May 30, 2012 – August 9, 2012 on SBS

Episodes: 20

Now lets meet the cast:

Kim Woohyun/Park Kiyoung – Hades

This is a person everything goes around him no matter under what name he goes. Policeman that was killed in progress of investigation and after getting a “new life” he become even more determinate to caught the criminal.

Woohyun shows always a poker face and even he has a handsome face, he gives a feeling of boring person. After he become Kiyoung you can start to see the changes that also his coworkers noticed saying he became nicer. What I actually missed by him is his smiling face that you could see when the past was shown.

Yoo Kangmi

The first complices to Park Kiyoung.

Kwon Hyukjoo/Mad cow

At first suspicious of Kim Woohyun and came sooner or later on his site to find the true.

Someone you may thing at the beginning as smart and annoying but his charms are getting out with the time.

Jo Hyunmin

As long as there is enough money and knowledge to get right information’s you can get everything.

It’s sad irony to this character – while his father died to save his child, he killed his child without knowing to save himself.

There is another character in it, where I feel irony to it:

Lee Taehyun, computer genie that works on pigeon files, when he is not helping to solve Woohyun`s case.

In general I really liked this drama. Once I started to watch it I was done within few days. It just swallows you in and you keep watching and watching. But little warning to those that may be sensitive to what they watch or have a big imagination – watching a lot at once and late at day/night can cause some sleeping disorder…at least by me.

Even I said I like it, there were also things that made me confuse or just made me questioning how is something like this or that possible. So yeah, this drama has some errors but I don’t think that will keep you away from watching once you start. I was hooked by it already at the first episode.

Few things that let me confused:

The first one: all face bones were broken? Is is it even possible to live after your head is practical in pieces? I don’t have enough imagination to believe this. Broken nose…okay. Broken jaw or some other piece…okay. But everything? Unbelievable.

Making someones face…good if they had the same shape to begin with. What did they do with his lips? They weren’t burned nor had they same shape At least I didn’t notice this. And his scar on the neck from face operation disappeared at the end….it wasn’t small ether so that should left the scar.

Wondering how would he ever enter a plane…they used so many metals for his face, so he would almost always trigger alarm at control point. Not to mention the lightning in storms. I would be scared for my life.

The biggest thing that still bothers me is this: When the director put that policeman into the place of team leader he also gave him the old case. After the policeman left he call someone saying he will report to him. Also later saying he wasnt the only one suspicion of Woohyun being involved in murder. So who was that other person? Who? WHO? If you watched it and you know, then please share this with me and still my curiosity.

And now lets skip to the end – what happened with that police reporter? Unsolved case?

Not to mention only bad things about this drama – I love how it progressed. Lets say your running and the end will be after that corner that you see. But when you get there you find out there is another corner that you need come to. And this repeats over and over. It’s like chasing the finish line that just gets further and further away.

Normally dramas have few eye-candies in it but this one was loaded with it…ah yah, my eyes were pleased.

Something else was loaded with it also – dead bodies. Wow, the persons that survived to the end should call itself lucky.

Sometimes I believe that unwritten rule for drama OST`s is that they need to be the best. Songs are always good and here were no exceptions. My favorite two:

Block B – Burn out

Mblaq – We were both in love

Need your load of Sub Jisub, GO or whoever? Then try it here – I think there are no limitations on it (mostly it`s limited to Europe 😦 )

Enjoy!

Nail shop Paris [kdrama – spoiler]

I notice this drama first when it came out, then I saw Thunder playing in it. But for some reason I wasn’t interested enough to watch it. Maybe I watched to many dramas at that time or I just wasn’t in the mood to watch anything new. So this drama stayed un-watched until now. Few days ago I stumbled over it again and since it has only 10 episodes I knew I will be finished soon.

First of all I need to say that actors for this drama on the side (will link to it below) is completely wrong. There is no word of Thunder or Gyuri and yet they are both in it.

Hong Yeojoo also called Bunny  (played by Gyuri from Kara)  is an internet novel writer. Because her latest novel was accoust plagiarism she went on the hunt for real life people inspiration. That brough her to Alex and the Nail shop Paris where she start to work as male then they are hiring only males.

You may think it different but her story is just BAD.  Serious, for me is it bad. Her main male character just stayed before her and could hide her from her hunter. I would understand if he would be bride as truck but he isn’t. Not to forget how annoying high voice the female got.

Maybe its just me who things this way, but when she was dressed as a girl, she looked more like a boy as when she plays a boy.

Alex (Jun Jihoo) is the main reason Bunny finds her way to the nail shop. He is the typical nice guy – good to all and sometimes you could say also a bit boring. A man with a secret that will be known only at the end.

He is someone who gave the feeling I would like to conformed him when he gave you that sad puppy look like on the picture above.

Jin (Thunder) is the vitamin in the shop. Like Alex he is also a man with a  secret that will come out in the first episodes.

His personality is like we could see in Sesame player – fun and always happy, sometimes bullying Bunny.

I always felt sorry for him then he needed to wear to short pants. I never like that leight, then its just like there was not enough material to make some normal leight of trousers, and yet they dint make it shorter what would be better.

And just wondering how many were crying by his kiss.

Kei (Song Jaerim) the cold man in the shop. You can see his ice melting around him with every new episode. Someone who likes to bully Bunny and is suspicious of her behavior.

This would be the character I feel in love with. His smile! And if Bunny doesn’t want him, I would take him right away. I mean, if a man would say he likes me no matter what gender I am, how could I not like him back? Yes, he may be sometimes rude and raw but he is still so adorable.

The boss is a mysterious woman with a secret that comes out with the last episode.

And not to forget Jisoo, Bunny’s roommate and best friend, Jin`s love interest. A girl that you could say is Jins female version.

I start to watch this drama because I knew that Thunder is playing in it and I was curious how it is. The first few episodes were funny and confusing. I didn’t expect ghost and gumihos about which Bunny so likes to write then she says when she was six a gumiho saved her live and that’s why she loves to write about them.

At some point I became really curious who will bein the end the pairing. Bunny had a crush on Alex – who doesn’t like Alex? – then there was also tension about her and Kei. When the drama started to progress I was already thinking that I will be really mad and disappointed when she doesn’t end up with the one I was rooting for.

I need to say that I liked Alex. He is nice and good-looking but I got a feeling he started to have feelings for Bunny after he discovered she was a girl and not a dongsaeng like he always though of her. This really gave me the impression that after knowing she is a girl he is also allowed to have feelings for her.

But Kei is different as Alex. He was about to confess his feeling believing Bunny is a guy. For him were his feelings more important as Bunny`s gender.

There is something that I just need to get rid of, then every time I saw that a shower went down my back. I know that every person has a different taste and doesn’t always go with others, but really… I love long and beautiful nails but what I saw here… wah, just by thinking I needed to shake. Is there really someone who likes and things that monstrous nails are pretty? I got a feeling that more uglier and longer they were the better it was. Every time they made nails they got claws out that were decorated like magpies nest – as long it blings just trow it on the nail.

Is this really pretty? I like only the last.

Not only that the nails look ugly, how functional are they really. Just curious how a girl with nails like that goes on toilet. I doubt that Korea has so advanced toilets that would also wipe your ass.  Oh wait! On the second though I really don’t wanna know this mystery.

Beside those monstrous nails, the drama was okay. I don’t love it, but it is watchebal. And if you wanna check it out by yourself – here is the way to it.

Attention Please [jdrama – spoiler alarm]

No, I don’t have anything imported to say, this is just the title of Japanese drama.

For someone like me who enjoys documentary series Mayday! Aircrash investigation, is this drama like a dream. Okay, not really a dream, but it’s definly something good.

I watched this drama a weil back and I enjoyed it so much that I already re-watched it…I think even twice. I doesn’t really matter how many times, the fact that I re-watch it tell enough to say how much I liked it.

So this drama shows Yoko on her way to become a flight attendant. It’s sometimes funny and sometimes hard. And the main focus is not on romance of the main female lead character.

You could say its interesting to see the walking part of those who serve you a meal  with a smile on 12000 meters.

You will definly enjoy with Yoko who is played by Aya Ueto, then she is livery and funny.

There is a glims of romance that a viewer can see before them but it never really makes a step forward, what I though as a shame. I wanted to see more from Yoko and Shouta.

This drama has also two specials with long distance flight – Hawaii and Sydney.

As always also here comes Yoko into troubles, what is so typical for her.

The relationship between her and Shouta becomes in Hawaii special the closest but then in the second one you don’t know what to think again. They just cut him from the drama with only short apearence at the end.

I liked this drama, I really did but like I said – I wished more romance for Yoko.

Another thing that I also really liked in this drama was how they showed in the end every time a different uniform that JAL flight attendants wore in different years. Nice showing history on that.

If you like to check it out, click here. Laugh is garanted, Yoko will make it sure for that.

Flower boy next door

I really love to watch Korean dramas and this time I watched “Flower boy next door” in real-time. In real-time means at the time when drama airs. But I also like to watch complete dramas that are bit old. Actually it doesn’t matter if drama/movie/reality show is up today or older as long I find it interesting enough to give it a shot. But like I already said, this was the drama that I had watched right now and I’m kinda sad that it ended.

So, here few words how I feel about it and it may contain some spoilers…okay, I`m sure there will be spoilers. That for if you wanna watch it and don’t like to read spoilers, than here is the right spot to stop reading this. Not like I think someone reads here, but just in case I wanna worn before someone could complain I ruined the drama for her/him before seeing it. Okay, now it`s clear.

I love the couple in this drama, they are so sweet. The all the time happy Enrique (Yoon SiYoon) and closed from the world Dokmi (Park ShinHye). It’s funny how they meet when Enrique got Dokmi by stalking his cousin.

Jap, that’s exactly how it went. 😀

This is Enrique. Korean who lives in Spain. He came to Korea because of job and like he said himself – to shoot amours arrow. But what he didn’t know – it will come back as boomerang.

He is always happy and smiles all the time. His positive energy kinda infects you…at least the ones who are sitting behind the screen like me. And this also start to makes changes by Dokmi.

He is such a cute person that you don’t want to see him like this.

That is Dokmi. She is someone who closed herself from the world. More you get to know her more scars she will show.

She needed someone like Enrique to show her how beautiful the world can be. To her he is like injection of life.

Like I already said, I really liked this couple. They are just to sweet and they complete each other. Enrique communicate with her at the beginning even without words….hearing her inner voice. Doesn’t this sound so romantic? Like your soul mate can hear thinking as like you would speak? Okay, this wouldn’t be always pleasant, right?

And there kiss at the end….oh yeah!

But Dokmis and Enriques first meeting (okay, that wasn’t really first meeting since they meet first time at his apartment door) wasn’t the only funny one.

Just imagine you open your curtains in the morning and someone is standing in front of your window. And you are not even in the lower store. Jap, that was the hilarious first meeting with her new neighbour Watanabe. The sad thing – he didn’t just missed the window, his apartment was on the other side of the building. But he was a nice guy.

I guess I would look the same in that situation.

Her two next door neighbors are there but for me not so much memorable. The one so quiet that you can forget him, the other sometimes so noisy that is already annoying. Okay, Jinrak is kinda cute with his pictures on her milk, but he is turtle slow and that was probably why Enrique had more progress by Dokmi. The slow turtle was overrun by fast rabbit.

Seriously?

And not to mention Dohwi, Dokmis friend from the past…that girls is soo annoying. She must just have waited for a chance for exchange her one good friend for a lot fake ones. I didn’t like her. Her fashion is just…to much. But I kinda feel bad for the actress because her characters are always pain in the ass. Or I can’t remember seeing her in one good role.

One thing that annoyed me through the whole drama (beside Dohwi): Ahjuma. Why the hell must Enrique call Dokmi all the time ahjuma? At the beginning okay, they didn’t know each other yet. But then…they become couple and he still called her like this. Really? Is she so much older than he that she needed to be called like this? wouldnt be noona enough? Friendlier. But then Dokmi never corrected him, at least not with words.

Beside that ahjuma thing, I loved that drama. I already saw “Flower boy ramyun shop” and also loved it. Now I’m wondering if “Shut up flower boy band” is also good like these two. Hmm… I may just give it a try.
